Karachi: ARY Network CEO Salman Iqbal has announced the launch of ‘ARY Laguna’ in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) City, according to a news source. According to Iqbal, the project is set to become Pakistan’s first artificial beach and will feature villas, South Asia’s tallest building, and the country’s largest shopping mall.
‘ARY Laguna is set to become the only resort project in South Asia,’ said Iqbal. About 80% of the villas in ARY Laguna are expected to develop in front of the artificial beach attraction. The infrastructure here be developed according to international standard but all the related items will be purchased via local vendors, he added.
The artificial lagoon will feature crystal clear water surrounded by white sand. To ensure that the water does not contaminate, the developer will use sound waves to prevent microbial growth.
The ARY CEO further stated that 80% of the material required for developing the project would be produced locally. For the items that are not manufactured locally, new industries will be set up.
